Lymphatic Drainage is a gentle type of massage therapy geared to stimulating your lymphatic system to improve your metabolism, encourage a healthy immune system, and promote the removal of toxins. Studies have found lymphatic drainage massage to be a medically beneficial form of physical therapy for a range of lymphedema-related problems.

Uses hollow bamboo canes that are warmed or used at room temperature. The bamboo cane replaces the therapist’s hands, giving a deeper, firmer massage. The cane is held by the therapist and rolled over the muscle with the same strokes they would use with their hands. The muscle is then kneaded, which assists in the release of tension and easing of knots.

Cupping therapy is a safe, non-invasive, comfortable and effective treatment for many health conditions. Cupping uses glass or plastic cups to create localized pressure by a vacuum. The suction in the cups cause the skin and superficial muscle layer to be lightly drawn into the cup. This mobilizes blood flow to promote the healing in an area and reduce pain and inflammation throughout the body. Cupping is much like the inverse of massage – rather than applying pressure to muscles, it uses gentle pressure to pull them upward. For most patients, this is a particularly relaxing and relieving sensation. The cups are generally left in place for about ten minutes.

The heat can be both deeply relaxing and help warm up tight muscles so the therapist can work more deeply, more quickly.
