What is Halotherapy?

Wow! What I have gained from Salt MedSpa is amazing! I heard about SMS in the middle of December 2015. During that time, I was frequently at the ENT Institute because my sinus infections continually turned into bacterial infections. I was in and out of the office from January 2015 to April 2015. It took months to find the correct antibiotics and when November 2015 rolled around I got ANOTHER bacterial infection. I was so tired of taking antibiotics and I needed to find relief, so I decided to give Salt MedSpa a try. I could tell immediately how much better my sinuses were, and had relief from the sinus headaches. Soon, my drainage and infections were gone. I purchased the yearly contract, and it’s been almost a year since I’ve had to be on any antibiotics! I come for at least 4 sessions a week and I not only enjoy the salt benefits, but I have also met some friends in the sessions as well. The staff at SMS is always courteous, and goes out of their way to make sure that every client has an enjoyable experience.  They address me by name every time I walk into the facility, and I enjoy visiting a locally owned business that takes the time to get to know their customers.

My husband and I had the best experience at the Salt MedSpa this week – after a very relaxing 45 minute salt session, I had the best facial I’ve had in this area, and he was equally happy with his deep tissue massage.  The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, the atmosphere is healthy and unique, and the products are outstanding.  We are planning monthly visits!

Halfway through the first session I noticed a dramatic increase in my ability to breathe. Eight sessions later and I no longer need to use my inhaler when I workout! Oh, and my sinus infection is gone. This place rocks!

Since moving to GA from AZ 2.5 years ago, both boys have suffered from various environmental allergies. When Salt Therapy opened, I thought, we have nothing to lose. The boys LOVE going to their “salt therapy” sessions and play in the salt, dig, and watch a movie! My older son is no longer snoring at night and my younger son seems more alert, and is full of life in the evening rather than tired and dragging. Most importantly, my boys enjoy this alternative therapy, and they understand that this holistic treatment, as well as others, are key to overall health rather than prescriptions and antibiotics.

I just experienced a 45 minutes session in the Salt Room which I had never heard of before.  I had visited this spa for another purpose and was immediately embraced by the calming atmosphere at this facility. My daughter was literally crying when I got home from work today because her allergies were making her so miserable. Her head hurt, eyes were swollen and watery. She was SO stopped up that the solution from a Neti Pot wouldn’t even penetrate the build-up. Leaving the SaltMedSpa tonight, she was ecstatic. She could breathe through her nose for the first time in at least 4 days!! Thank God for salt! And thank you, Salt MedSpa!

I am really seeing a difference in my respiratory condition after only three sessions! My sinus headache and ringing in my ears was gone without medication after just a couple of hours after one of my sessions. I also have more energy and love how relaxed I feel afterwards.

Everyone is extremely friendly, helpful and goes out of their way to help you with whatever you need. They are very knowledgeable about all things “salt.” Before attending the Salt Spa, I was on four different medications for chronic sinus and allergy issues and continued to suffer. After coming several times, I began to notice a huge difference!! I am now off all of my medications except for one – which I only use as needed. I am a yearly member and have recently renewed for another year. It has been a blessing to me… My happy place! Salt MedSpa is 5 stars in my book. I recommend it to co-workers, family, friends and students on a regular basis!

My first visit to Salt MedSpa was wonderful!  The relaxation salt room lived up to its name and was very relaxing with the soft music and lighting.  Seasonal allergies have been bothering me and the visit helped clear the airways. You can tell a difference immediately. The staff is welcoming and knowledgeable and will not pressure you into buying anything! Definitely will be back again!

My family and I love this place! My daughter and I went for the first time with a persistent cough, but after just one treatment the cough was gone. I can’t recommend this place enough to anyone looking for a more natural holistic treatment approach. My children have not had to go to the pediatrician all winter, and I believe that the Salt MedSpa is the reason. On a side note, the facials are also by far the best I’ve experienced anywhere!

I tried a salt spa in the state that I currently live and was not impressed so when I went to visit a relative I was recommended to try one there, I was a bit skeptical. Well I should NOT have been!  It was AMAZING!  So much better than my past experience elsewhere.  My whole family went (all adults) and we all had different results.  My daughter (who happens to have Down syndrome), started with a runny nose and a start of a cold that never manifested.  My son that was at the tail end of a cold and complained of clogged ears, no longer had clogged ears.  I was more relaxed than I had been in a long time and actually felt the benefits of sitting in the salt room.  I would highly recommend this salt spa and would encourage anyone to just try it!

I had my second episode of acute sinusitis/bronchitis within a 4 month period. I had completed a course of antibiotic & steroids and within two days, I was back at the doctor’s office & was given my second antibiotic.  At this point I started looking for alternative therapies. During a google search I found Halotherapy articles and a link to Salt Med Spa. So, I came in and the special that month was a free salt room session for new clients. I did the session and it definitely helped (I keep coming back for more!)  The sessions have not only helped the sinusitis, but are also very relaxing. It has been such a wonderful experience. The staff is very helpful and pleasant, and the spa has a very clean and relaxing environment. I have already recommended to my friends and family!

I was lucky to receive the works at Salt MedSpa for Mother’s Day. The whole experience was amazing! I relaxed during the halotherapy, and my sinuses became clear. I went from there to a swedish massage  and was amazed how it worked out the tension that I’ve been carrying in my neck and back. I finished up with the signature facial, and it felt wonderful! I was very excited to hear that there was another alternative treatment for my chronic allergies. I’ve suffered with all year round allergies for the past 4 to 5 years and have been dependant on allergy medication. After having only one treatment in the salt room, I noticed that I was starting to have a lot of drainage. I was breathing better almost immediately. I have since had another treatment and am breathing better and better everyday. I would recommend this to any adult or child with chronic all year round allergies like mine!

My family and I went here and I was a very nice experience. The staff was amazing. Three out of six of us were having slight congestion and or sinus issues. I was able to breathe better after this treatment. The kids loved the kid room and the room for adults or families was very relaxing. I would definitely go again.

I came into the Salt MedSpa on a Tuesday sick with a sinus infection and a double ear infection. My ears were so stopped up it was even hard to hear. I couldn’t get anything to come out of my nose it was so stuffy. I was looking for any relief. Not long after my session began I started to feel the fluid moving in my nose, and I knew then the salt room was helping. The next morning I noticed a difference in my breathing I knew the salt was breaking all this junk up, not to mention I slept so good. So I continued to go everyday for the 5 days, I felt movement and popping noises in my ears each time I went and I am happy to say that my nose and ears are sooooooo much better! On the 5th day my ear popped open and I was so thankful! In those 5 days not only was it helping my sinuses it was also helping with anxiety and stress, I was even sleeping better. I felt so much calmer during the day and just relaxed and not so tense. I recommend this place to anyone and everyone I meet!

I love Salt MedSpa.  I discovered it in December 2013, via Groupon and I have been in love ever since.  In October 2014 I bought my first bag of Himalayan salt and used it for the purpose of making sole.  The benefits have been nothing short of astounding!  I have tons of energy, my skin has a natural glow, and my complexion is clear.  The biggest benefit however is no longer having to suffer with seasonal allergies due to the ragweed and pollen.  Normally I would have to keep Claritin on hand, but since I started taking sole (using the Himalayan salt) I have been symptom free!  I’ve always believed that God has given us everything that we need for healing right here on earth; the Salt Medspa has helped to prove my theory!

I love coming to the Salt MedSpa I usually attend about three times per week, and I believe that coming has helped my asthmatic and sinus problems. I have also had fewer issues with eczema and inflammation from my Fibromyalgia. Salt MedSpa has improved my overall health and feeling of well-being. I like the serene atmosphere, and the staff is excellent. They explain the science behind the salt rooms in a way that makes sense.

Yoga in the salt room is a great combination!  Today was my day to swim and I noticed my lungs felt like something needed to come out. I felt great after one session and will try again soon when allergies start to bother me.

I started coming to Salt MedSpa in 2015. I had previously heard of it, and read about the benefits many times. Since I was a child, I’ve suffered with bronchial and respiratory issues including: sore throat, sinus infections, and post nasal drip. Because I prefer natural remedies, SMS works well for me. It is a wonderful investment, and beats hospital and emergency room fees any day. I feel immediate relief, and I sleep so well afterwards!

After the first session, I slept soundly without taking cough medicine. The second session brought even more relief and I didn’t need cough medicine at any time. I had some knee and calf muscle pain from playing sports recently which was lasting much longer than normal so I decided to get a massage here.  Best thing ever, the massage therapist found that the muscles in my upper leg were extremely tight which was causing the other muscles to compensate causing my issue.  The massage therapist worked out my upper leg and like magic the lower leg pains were gone.  If that wasn’t enough I got a free halotherapy session as part of the massage package so now I can breathe better too.  Some of the best return on my money spent in a long time.  Highly recommend this group they have something special going on.

BINGO!!!! This gorgeous spa is amazing. Today was my very first salt therapy, and I feel like a million bucks! Before realizing about the awesomeness of halotherapy, I suffered with constant stuffy noses, bad snoring, and a whole arsenal of other things. However the first time I walked into the spa, it was calming and relaxing. Then I actually tried a Halotherapy session, and it was amazing. The staff was above wonderful, the place was clean, and relaxing, just as it should be. But this place was definitely different from any spa. After that first experience, I became a regular guest. I mean, why would you not?

After the very first visit to Salt MedSpa we experienced a notable change in health and well-being. My asthma symptoms continue to decrease. Sam is a cosmetologist for over 40 years with inhaling various chemicals at her salon and the Salt Spa has enabled her to clear the congestion she has endured for so many years and breathe and even regain her sense of smell. We now enjoy a full and blissful nights sleep without “snoring” or interruptions from coughing.
